HBO sued over alleged horse deaths cover-up on 'Luck'

Canceled HBO series "luck" is anything but fun for network HBO Productions and Stewart was sued by a former American Humane Association. Employees for alleged abuses horses and then covered the abuses during the making of the HBO movie "luck" series.

TV was closed in March 2012 after four horses died during production. Now, a woman who worked with HBO show sued, claiming he helped cover up the alleged abuse of horses in the column for the month.

Barbara Casey, who worked for the American Humane Association for 13 years, sued his former employer, HBO and Stewart Productions, claimed that he was terminated after he blew the whistle on the abuse of horses.

According to the complaint, the Los Angeles court and filed by the Messenger of Hollywood, Casey experienced horse, "to fulfill the drugs" and the horses, the "light and sick."

Case, Casey producers claim ignores the alleged abuses, though they asked to report them to the authorities. Finally he was released in January 2012.

He said the American Humane Association, the officers work to ensure the safety of the animals have to supervise the set, not abuse "political and financial pressure."

"AHA bowed to political and financial pressure and refused to report the production of the defendant's conduct to the authorities," Casey said in the suit. "AHA instructed plaintiff not to report such behavior. AHA engaged in efforts to hide and cover up the production defendants criminal activity."

HBO released the following statement to The Hollywood Messenger:

"We have everything in order to ensure that our horses are treated humanely and with utmost care, more than any backup all the necessary protocols and guidelines of the production. Barbara Casey is not an employee of HBO, and all inquiries should be directed to their work the AHA. "
